Chinese New Year 2025 was celebrated at the home of one of our Chinese clients with a culinary delicacy! Wednesday, January 29, 2025 marks the Year of the Snake in sound, a year full of new opportunities. And what better fit for that than a feast of crayfish?

Crayfish are especially popular in China during cozy, festive gatherings. In cities such as Wuhan and Shanghai, they are served in large quantities in special “ma xiang xia” (麻香虾) restaurants, where they are prepared with spicy herbs, garlic and Sichuan peppers. During Chinese New Year, they symbolize happiness and abundance, and families enjoy this flavorful delicacy together. The combination of tender, juicy lobster and spicy sauces makes it a real treat. With our high-quality Dutch crayfish, we bring this authentic tradition to the Netherlands so that this festive delicacy can also be enjoyed here!
